Join us at the lawn festival for food, live music, arts and crafts and family fun at St Mary’s Church, St Mary’s Road W5 5RH on Saturday 19th September between 12.30 and 5.30pm. The festival showcases local businesses and community groups and runs from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th.
Both Ealing Transition and Edible Ealing will have stalls at the festival and a special ‘guess the weight of the pumpkin’ competition.
We hope you will be able to join us for our next event, which will focus on the subject of renewable energy. It will explore new approaches to generating electricity and provide a chance to find out more about the community energy project that is currently being developed in Ealing. A short film will be shown, and there will be an opportunity for discussion over hot drinks and locally-made cakes.
‘Cowspiracy’ is a groundbreaking documentary following intrepid filmmaker Kip Andersen as he explores the destructive consequences of animal agriculture. This shocking yet humorous film reveals the absolutely devastating environmental impact large-scale factory farming has on our planet. It also offers a path to global sustainability for a growing population. Run time is 85 mins.
The event will be held at St Mary’s Church, St Mary’s Road, Ealing W5 5RH. Entry is free, but we will ask for donations after the film to help us cover costs. After the screening, there will be an opportunity to discuss the film’s messages over refreshments, and to find out more about environmentally-friendly food options in Ealing.
