EVENT: The truth about air pollution and what we can do about it

Sunday 30th October 7.30pm

With air pollution becoming an increasing concern for many Londoners, Ealing Transition Initiative is organising a public event focused on this topic, with an emphasis on the facts and what we can do to take practical action ourselves.

We are delighted to have Professor Frank Kelly of King’s College, London as our keynote speaker. Frank and his team are the independent group who run the air quality monitoring system throughout London and are the leading source of information on both air quality and consequences.

We wish to raise awareness about the serious problem of air pollution and its impacts on public health, particularly that of children, and to enable local people to participate directly in thinking and discussing the issues and to participate in creating solutions alongside leaders in the local authority.

We are very pleased that Councillor Julian Bell, Leader of Ealing Council, Jo Mortensen, Ealing’s Sustainability Manager, and Virendra Sharma and Rupa Huq, our local MPs, have agreed to attend to share their ideas and plans for improvement.

Meet your MP at Perivale Wood

Saturday 15th October

Ealing residents have the chance to walk in the woods and ask our MPs to protect the people and places you love from climate change. The event will take place from 3pm to 5pm and Steve Pound, Virendra Sharma and Rupa Huq will all be attending. By joining them for discussion over a cup of tea, you can show what you believe in.
