Sunday 6th December EVENT: Food Security and Sustainability

Our next event will be on-line on Sunday 6th December 7.00pm – 9.00pm, when we will be hearing from a number of community and professional pioneers grappling with the problems of food security and sustainability.

We are delighted to have Prof Martin Caraher, Emeritus Professor of Food & Health Policy at City University, London, with us to give a keynote presentation on the theme “how can we address the health and environmental impacts of our industrialised food system and the serious levels of hunger within our community?”

This will be followed by presentations from champions of community projects, including :

• Nikki Tadema from City Harvest, West Acton
• Karen Jenkins from Hanwell Community Fridge
• Fiona Bell & Sam Rudd of CropDrop, Bath and North Somerset
• Elly from Bubble & Squeak Oak School East Acton

with an opportunity for discussion afterwards. We hope you will find this an inspiring opportunity to consider how we can take local action in Ealing and work together to make a difference.
